Detox what is it exactly?
I wonder how many of us have bought products for detox, used them for a couple of days and then
fell by the wayside. Why? Often it is because we really do not understand what a detox is all about.
I have devised a workshop on this subject with the intention of explaining what a detox is. . Below is
a breakdown of what we will look at

How the body fights toxins
The effects of food on a detox
Foods to avoid
Detox superfoods
How to detox
The different type of detox’s eg Mono/Weekend/seven day.
Cleansing detox foods!
We will be specifically preparing and eating foods that cleanse the body such as
Tomato and Fresh Basil Soup
Apple and beetroot salad with red leaves
Date, orange and carrot salad
Turkish-style new potato casserole
Couscous with Vegetables
Apricot and ginger compote
(these are ideas it depends on market food supply at the time)
Dates are Tuesday 11th October and Tuesday 25th October. Price 25 euro and start time will be
11.30am at Finca La Guita, both these workshops are now full but I will be looking to hold further
workshops in the future on this subject. So please if you are interested let me know. As with any
workshops I am happy to hold them at outside venues, again contact me to discuss this.
