Minerals and their importance for the body Minerals are vitally important to the body; here we are looking at the different minerals and what quantities are required by the body, what functions they are required for and the deficiencies that will manifest if they are not contained in the diet. Vitamin and Mineral deficiency questionnaire  This is for anyone who wishes to know if they may be deficient in vitamin and minerals in their diet. The questionnaire is completed by the individual and is for their private use.   The Mediterranean Diet – with emphasis on the nutrients of the tapas lunch  Time and time again the Mediterranean diet comes up tops for nutritional value and a good all round diet. We will be looking at why this is the case and in the tapas lunch will be eating foods that come from the Mediterranean area.
