The Right Lifestyle - Jean Sampson - Tel: 952030611 - email: jeanlaguita@hotmail.com 11.30 to 2.00pm programme   Digestion and related disorders part I Foods that are good for digestion Cookery demonstration – followed by tapas lunch   This workshop has been dedicated solely to looking at the digestive system and the acute illnesses that can manifest if the right food and drink is not consumed in order for it to function to its optimum level. The digestive system is for me one of the most important organs of the body, if it receives the right nutrients and is not abused it will ensure the rest of the body receives what is needed for us to be healthy. From the moment we smell see or touch food and drink we start the digestive process. We put the food in our mouth but how many of us understand the intricate way it is distributed into our bodies and how we eliminate the residue of what is not used. It is a shocking truth that many acute and chronic illnesses start with poor digestion. We do not like to speak about this issue but constipation and diarrhoea are often both results of poor digestion. This is often caused by a poor diet. Then we have bloated ness, leaky gut syndrome, malabsorption of nutrients, gas or flatulence and poor waste elimination.   We have not even touched the tip of the ice-burg of what then become chronic illnesses, this I a subject that we will be looking at in another workshop. The cookery demonstration, and food we will eat have been created especially for the good digestion, it is not only good for us but looks great as well….
